Scott This is music that sets your imagination free. And Mark's comment regarding the quality of the sound is spot-on -- it has a clarity and sense of space even when sampling it on my cell's lousy little speaker...which is exactly what one would hope for if they listen via streaming.

Update, 1-29-19: it's -23F/-31C (wind chill is -49F) as I type this and I'm literally frozen in, yet this beautiful music is expansive enough to relieve the claustrophobic gloom. Nice CD package, too. Favorite track: metamorphism.

Mark Ward Deep, chill & haunting atmospheres that really do transport you. Includes field recordings made in the Antarctic. The sound quality is superb. The FLAC version is around 1500kbps. One of the most enjoyable ambient albums I've heard in a long time.

about

Dominique Filippi, Wellington based researcher from Sextant Technology, often works in Antarctica.
Over attaching devices on penguins, he loves to record sounds from environment; then he shares those posting online and...just there i found him.
This album starts from his gorgeous recordings; an imaginary journey to the most extreme place on earth. Hostile and beautiful at once; a place were humans have found fame and glory, but also pain and death.
